An accomplished strategy executive, Dane D’Alessandro currently serves as the section chief of consumer response investigations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C. CFPB is a 21st century agency that helps consumer finance markets work through effective rulemaking, supervision, enforcement, and consumer empowerment, and Dane D’Alessandro created the consumer response investigations department in 2010. As the team’s founder, he developed the organization’s processes and organization, directed talent acquisition efforts, and initiated a professional development program. He now manages a team of nearly 90 consumer complaint investigators.
Prior to his current role, Mr. D’Alessandro acted as the senior director of strategy execution at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, an organization chartered by Congress to stabilize residential mortgage markets. He was responsible for providing executive direction for strategic mandates and for helping implement initiatives such as the Making Home Affordable Compliance (MHA-C) compliance program for mortgage loan modifications.
Complementing his expertise in organizational leadership, Dane D’Alessandro is pursuing a PhD in organizational development from Benedictine University. He currently holds an MA in organizational sciences from George Washington University and a BS in information systems and industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University.
